The International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) today announced the 26 games that have been shortlisted to enter into the next stage of the competition. The competition received hundreds of entries out of which a selected jury shortlisted 26 games in 5 different categories. Gear Wager from IGameStudio stands as one of the nominees in the Best Casual Game Award Category.
Says Mariam Dholkawala, Founder and Technical Head of IGameStudio "We are proud to be nominated for the IMGA Best Casual Game Award Category this year. We had aimed at innovating with our game concept and providing the best user experience using Flash Lite as the technology. Now with team IMGA’s honor and appreciation of our efforts, this nomination has definitely proved to be a big incentive for us." On Gear Wager, Mariam says, "Gear Wager is a fun casual arcade game woven around a story on the Flash Lite platform. The game is unique in various ways but I'd like to say that with the game, we've tried pushing the boundaries of the technology and platform." The nominated developers have until the end of January 2009 to submit a finished game or a playable demo. Before 16 February the IMGA jury will meet again to select the winners in each category and the Grand Prix Winner.
